The production line uses a six-wheel casting machine with a cross-sectional area of 2330mm2 to produce Φ8mm low-oxygen copper rods. The casting wheel is H type. During the casting process, the eddy current can be greatly reduced, so that the air bubbles and cracks in the ingot can also be effectively reduced, and the quality of the ingot is better than that of the vertical casting process.

The cooling water comes from 4 areas of the casting wheel (inner, outer, and 2 sides), divided into 9 channels, and all cooling points are reasonable, which ensures that the grain structure of the slab is dense, evenly distributed, and of better quality.

The rolling mill has 12 stations, the first station is No. 4 two-roller type, and the remaining 8 stands are 3-roller type. The compression ratio from 1 to 6 stations has effectively improved the grain structure of the ingot and greatly increased it, especially cracks and air bubbles can be eliminated, The quality of the Φ8mm copper rod has been significantly improved, and fine wire drawing is easy. Equipped with hydraulic tensioners, the E.coli is in good order and packed for easy long distance transport. The quality and SCR products produced by the new rolling mill for Ф8mm copper rods.

The electrical control system uses a DC main motor and an advanced Siemens digital speed control device to synchronize the speed of the casting machine, rolling mill and coiling. Through the programmable controller and the human-machine interface, the system can realize the coordinated control of the main machine and the auxiliary machine, and display the operating parameters and faults.
