A motor stator recycling machine is designed to remove copper windings from scrap motor stators, reducing manual dismantling work and making copper and steel easier to separate. For mixed-size scrap motors, a motor stator cutting machine and a 3-function stator recycling machine can be used together to cover different processing requirements.
Two Machines for Different Stator Sizes
The motor stator cutting machine is mainly used for larger and heavier stators. It cuts through the stator and winding structure, making the internal copper accessible for further separation. This type of equipment is suitable when the size and weight of the stator make manual cutting difficult.
The 3-function motor stator recycling machine combines three operations: cutting, copper extraction from small stators, and pulling copper windings from larger stators. A typical hydraulic model can handle stators in a range of approximately 50–500 mm, although the actual working range depends on the machine configuration and material dimensions.
For small stators, the winding is cut first and then gripped and pulled out. For larger stators, the lifting platform and hydraulic pulling mechanism provide additional support during copper extraction. This allows one machine to process different stator sizes without relying entirely on manual tools.

Motor Stator Recycling Machine for Copper Winding Extraction
How the Equipment Works
The basic recycling process is straightforward:
1. Stator positioning: The scrap stator is placed and secured on the working platform.
2. Copper winding cutting: The cutting section removes or cuts the exposed winding at the required position.
3. Copper extraction: Small stators can be processed with a gripping mechanism, while larger stators can be placed on the lifting platform and processed with hydraulic pulling pliers.
4. Material separation: After the winding is removed, the main materials are separated into copper windings and the steel/silicon-steel stator core.
Hydraulic systems are commonly used because they provide controlled cutting and pulling force. Some commercially available 3-function models use around 4 kW of motor power, with dimensions of about 2.6 × 1.1 × 1.2 m and a weight of approximately 480 kg. These figures are examples rather than universal specifications; the final configuration should be selected according to the customer's stator dimensions and processing requirements.
Why Use Two Machines Together?
The main advantage of combining the two machines is size flexibility. Scrap motors collected from appliances, workshops, and industrial equipment rarely have identical stator dimensions. Using a dedicated cutting machine for large stators and a multifunctional machine for small and medium stators creates a more practical workflow.
The result is a relatively simple process: cut the winding → grip or pull the copper → separate copper from the steel core. For recycling businesses handling mixed motor scrap, equipment selection should therefore be based on the actual stator diameter, winding structure, daily volume, and required labor level rather than machine capacity alone.
For detailed specifications, processing tests, and a quotation, the raw material size and stator samples should be provided before selecting the equipment.
